The Story

This is the 2013 England Home shirt, released as a tribute to 150 years of the national team’s legacy. A minimal, all-white design with red and navy detailing, it marked a century and a half of footballing tradition and the enduring symbolism of the Three Lions crest.

At Stitched FC, we reinterpreted this iconic shirt through a lens of artistry and reverence. The embroidery introduces a solitary golden lion — echoing the national emblem — stitched in bold contrast across the chest. It’s not just a nod to history, but a reawakening of it.

Design Direction

The golden lion is surrounded by a soft arrangement of blue and violet flowers, inspired by classic English flora — a gentle balance to the strength of the lion itself. The vines and petals frame the embroidery like a royal tapestry, creating a piece that feels both grounded and ceremonial.
