The Story

This shirt served as Spain’s official kit for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar — a striking return to deep crimson with bold navy and yellow trim. While the tournament ended in disappointment after a Round of 16 exit, the shirt marked a new generation of Spanish talent led by Pedri, Gavi, and Nico Williams — young players redefining La Roja’s future.

At Stitched FC, we saw this jersey as a blank canvas for reflection and symbolism. A tribute to Spanish identity, stitched with regional pride and natural strength.

Design Direction

The embroidery draws inspiration from one of the floral mosaic columns of the Palau de la Música Catalana — a modernist masterpiece that celebrates music, nature, and Catalan identity. Along the chest, a vertical composition features traditional flower motifs, capped by a detailed Iberian lynx — one of Spain’s most iconic and endangered wild animals.

This fusion of architectural beauty and native wildlife reflects the dual soul of Spain: bold and intricate, proud yet quiet. Each stitch is a tribute to what grows, thrives, and persists — both in art and in nature.
